The Sligo Centre for Independent Living Ltd. (Sligo CIL) began its work in 1996 when a group of local people came together and formed a Sponsor Group for a FAS Community Employment Project to provide a Personal Assistant service for people with disabilities.

The organisation's purpose was and still continues to be entirely charitable and not for profit with a focus on inclusion, equality and empowerment for people with disabilities.

Sligo CIL prides itself on being a professional modern non-profit organisation, providing all aspects of non-medical support to people with disabilities. These support needs naturally vary from person to person and as a result have the ability to evolve, change and assist the individual to lead an independent life where and when support is most needed.

If you feel you could avail of one of our services or know somebody who would, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to advise and help you with and throughout the application process.
